Sunday School:  During the school year, we have Sunday school classes for children from preschool through 5th grade. Classes meet at 9:35 a.m. each week, between worship services.  Sunday School is a curriculum based, grade level teaching of God's word.  The groupings are PreK and Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grades, and 3rd/4th/5th Grades.  The classes circle around reading lessons, discussion, activity pages and crafts. We follow the Gospel Light Curriculum that teaches the Bible lessons and stories in a semester format.  Each class is approximately 45 minutes long.

4th & 5th Graders: Also, we are starting a new 4th & 5th grade group for fun games, activities and getting to know each other.  The purpose of this is to bond as a group so that when you get to Middle School, there are already friends there to help with the transition. Check the Sunday bulletin for more information.

Teenagers:  Hope's teenagers meet in the Youth Room at 9:35 a.m. on Sunday mornings during the school year. High school and Middle school youth are welcome too!

Children's Church is a mixed age group, 4-12 years old, that meets during the 20 minute sermon portion of the service.  Children exit the church on the side with the church leaders and return during the offering.  Children's Church is a time for children to hear God's word at their level.  This also allows parents to focus on their own spiritual learning.  The children meet in the large education room for a fellowship opportunity to share the weekly Gospel bible story through skits, crafts, games and videos.  Parents are welcome too and there's always a need for additional help, so please let us know if you can participate.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) was held the week of July 20 through 24 in 2009. We explored the bayou with Crocodile Dock! There were between 90 and 100 children at VBS this year, and it was a great time for the kids and the volunteers.  Watch for more information in the spring, on VBS 2010.
